Overview

Project Mooka is a 50 MW pre-Ready-to-Build (pre-RTB) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Mooka City, Tochigi Prefecture. The project is currently in the development phase, with permitting and technical preparations underway to reach RTB status. Once operational, the system will enhance grid stability and support the integration of renewable energy sources in the region.

Development

The project is being advanced as a combined development and acquisition initiative. As part of the environmental mitigation measures, noise barriers will be installed to minimize the impact on surrounding areas. Ongoing efforts are focused on securing all necessary approvals and advancing the project toward Ready-to-Build status.
